Meet Our Denver Labs Team: Beau Bergman
Every WeWork Labs location comes equipped with a feature no other space can replicate: the Labs Manager, your onsite super-connector whose job is to help you fulfill your destiny. Our Labs managers are just as diverse as the Labs and members they lead—a global team with various backgrounds, cultures, interests, and more. In this post, we’re learning a bit about Beau Bergman.
Name: Beau Bergman
Title: Labs Manager
Lab: The Hub—Denver, CO
If you had to describe yourself in three words, what would they be?
Creator, builder, and skier.
What did you do before you joined WeWork Labs?
I completed the Techstars program in Boulder, Colorado and was the cofounder and COO of Tripcents, a software company.
What do you like best about working with early-stage startups?
I love being able to pass on lessons and advice to new companies to help them avoid the same pitfalls I fell into. I want them to succeed and if they can learn from my mistakes, they're already a step ahead.
What do you do when you’re not helping startups succeed?
I'm always outside, either skiing, golfing, mountain biking, or paddle boarding. I love to travel and camp. I'm spoiled because the weather is always amazing in Colorado! If the weather is bad, you can catch me cooking and listening to music.
What’s your superpower?
My superpower is the ability to make decisions work with limited resources.
What are you favorite things to do near your Lab?
I play a ton of golf and like to go out to dinner and grab drinks with friends around the Lab. The Rockies baseball stadium is close, too, so that's always fun and easy to get to!
What are some good places to grab a bite to eat near your Lab?
I'd recommend checking out Ratio Brewery. There are hundreds of breweries in Denver, but this one is fun and has a great atmosphere. Denver has lots of restaurants, but close to the Labs location, I'd recommend fish and beer or the Infinite Monkey Theorem.
I'm a tourist in your city - what do I have to see or experience before I leave?
This is a tough one! Denver has so much to offer. I love music and would say that you absolutely have to see a show at Red Rocks Amphitheater before leaving. There are also a ton of hikes and trails to check out.
