Meet Our London Labs Team: Scott Trowbridge
Every WeWork Labs location comes equipped with a feature no other space can replicate: the Labs Manager, your onsite super-connector whose job is to help you fulfill your destiny. Our Labs managers are just as diverse as the Labs and members they lead—a global team with various backgrounds, cultures, interests, and more. In this post, we’re learning a bit about Scott Trowbridge.
Name: Scott Trowbridge
Title: Labs Manager
If you had to describe yourself in three words, what would they be?
Entrepreneurial, tenacious, and caring.
What did you do before you joined WeWork Labs?
I founded Digitalondon, a virtual incubator supporting highly-scalable tech startups in the areas of conceptualization, funding and growth. More recently, I was the Director of Global Business Development for a blockchain company.
What do you like best about working with early-stage startups?
I love meeting new founders who have an inconceivable passion for solving a problem. I appreciate learning about the problem they are dedicated to solving and finding ways in which I can help them grow.
What do you do when you’re not helping startups succeed?
I really enjoy being active: walking, running, cycling, and going to the gym. I love to travel and meet new people from different cultures! I'm a geek so I enjoy learning about the latest tech companies and what products are being launched. I also have a big passion for fintech blockchain and cryptocurrencies.
What’s your superpower?
X-Ray vision—seeing new opportunities that others can't.
What are some good places to grab a bite to eat near your Lab?
Wright Brothers Spitalfields has amazing seafood. I'm also a big fan of Chilango.
What are your favorite things to do near your Lab?
Go to the gym, run, and eat.
I'm a tourist in your city - what do I have to see or experience before I leave?
Depends on the weather but I'm pretty fond of walking to the London Bridge, then along South Bank River. There are nice food stands and great music in South Bank Centre. You also have experience the London Eye, Big Ben, and Houses of Parliament along the way. There's also a cool rooftop cocktail bar on the 12th floor of the Sea Containers hotel I highly recommend.
