Community Leadership: Critical Thinking
Shiri Rosenblat-Itzhak joined the Small Business Accelerator to dive into one big question: How can we create a powerful, productive discussion to move our communities forward online in this era of overwhelming, fast information? "Appreciative Inquiry" (David Cooperrider, 1980) is a way of being and seeing, and it provides a great answer to this question. It is both a worldview and a process for facilitating positive change in human systems, organizations, groups and communities. Problems get replaced with innovation as conversations increasingly shift toward uncovering the community's (or organization’s or group’s) positive core. In this workshop, Shiri discusses:
- Use the 4D Appreciative Inquiry model for asking powerful questions
- Identify the positive core of either an individual, community or organization
- Sharpen the vision of a future outcome
- Inspire action for change.
