But what's the difference between a good financial model and a bad one? Do investors even care about models for early stage companies? And what's a Data Room all about anyway? In this module's expert session, Craig Vaughan from Vaughan Capital Advisors will provide an overview of what investors look for when they look under the hood of your business.

About the Mentor:

Mr. Vaughan has closed over $6 billion in transactions, including the formation of Fox Mobile Television, the acquisition of the San Diego Padres, the sale of Double Encore to WPP, and the sale of EByline to Izea.

Mr. Vaughan began his investment banking career with Goldman Sachs in the Communications, Media and Entertainment group in New York. Before founding Vaughan Capital Advisors, Vaughan was a Senior Executive in Business Development at Creative Artists Agency (“CAA”), the world’s leading talent agency. Prior to joining CAA, Vaughan held business development and strategy roles at 21th Century Fox and Sony Pictures, and prior to business school was an analyst in commercial lending and risk management at Bank of America.

Mr. Vaughan is also a principal in the QueensBridge Fund, founded in 2014, which has made over 100 investments in top Silicon Valley startups including Dropbox, Lyft, Crowdtilt, and Casper.
